Crawfish in Tyler Texas
Some folks call 'em crayfish, crawdads, or mudbugs, but here in Texas they are simply CRAWFISH, whether they are swamp crawfish, spillway crawfish, or pond crawfish.
We've been catching crawfish all our life, and love the tradition of a long, leisurely crawfish boil in spring!
Crawfish are healthy food. They are an excellent source of high-quality protein, low in calories, fat and saturated fat, and a good source of vitamins.
We are looking forward to another fun crawfish season in Texas in 2025!
Where to Buy Crawfish in the Tyler Area
A number of seafood markets and outlets offer live crawfish for sale in Tyler and East Texas during the crawfish season in the spring.

Also, some supermarkets such as Brookshires, and the Coffee Landing's Seasoning & Catering food truck in nearby Jacksonville, offer boiled crawfish by the pound in season.
Several Tyler restaurants such as Razzoo's Cajun Cafe' serve crawfish meals, and boiled crawfish, in season.
The last six years we have purchased our live, and boiled, crawfish from Wade's Place on East Main Street in Chandler. We've met Wade, and he runs a great seafood restaurant serving crawfish, etouffee, gumbo, catfish, shrimp, oysters, snow crab legs, hand-cut rib-eye steaks, burgers, salads and much more. Included with the boiled crawfish at Wade's are potatoes and corn on the cob.
Wade's is located at the railroad tracks just a block south of Highway 31. We dine at Wade's regularly, and it is highly recommended for great food, friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere. They also do takeout.

We've also been pleased with the live crawfish we've purchased by the sack from Circle M Crawfish in Big Sandy, on Highway 155 just south of U.S. 80. They've been selling crawfish for over 22 years. The facility is also known as "Rodney's", or "the Crawfish Stand". The facility includes a restaurant, and its menu features crawfish, shrimp, alligator, boudin, along with choice steaks and other items. Live music is often featured Thursday-Saturday evenings with a family friendly atmosphere. Phone 903.636.9199.
The owners of the popular Cajun cuisine food truck in the Tyler area opened a "brick and mortar" restaurant in the summer of 2023. Catch Me If You Can is located at 18950 Highway 155 South, two miles south of the Blue Store. It offers a number of crawfish plates and dinners. On the right heading south, it's the lime green building. Caddo Creek Crawfish Farm is a 63-acre facility near Frankston. Customers can call no later than Wednesday or Thursday to order how many crawfish they want that weekend and pick them up on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Coffee Landing's
Located just south of Tyler on the north side of Jacksonville, this outlet provides a large variety of shrimp, catfish, crab legs, and crawfish dishes ... enjoy great fried catfish dinners with hush puppies, okra, French fries and more. Plus live and boiled crawfish, and fried turkey, in season. The setup includes a lighted, on-site gazebo for dining, or for hosting special events. Parking is plentiful ... kids will enjoy the fenced play area. Highly recommended!
