It features exciting new businesses such as the Cavender's Home Office, Swann's Furniture Gallery, FRESH by Brookshire's, and BTH Bank. The Oak Hills Promenade includes Merrill Lynch, Keller-Williams, and several other business and medical offices.

A Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market opened in early 2016 just north of Grande on Old Jacksonville near the recently completed McDonald's, Taco Bell, Starbucks, Braum's and the Palomar Apartment complex.
Numerous new restaurants such as Javi's, Cantina Laredo, The Catch, Texas de Brazil, and Bruno's Pizza have also recently located to the area. Nearby schools include the Oak Hills Montessori School, the Three Lakes Middle School, and Jack Elementary in the Blue Ridge development.
Home developments such as Legacy Bend, The Crossing, Oak Hollow, Oak Hills, The Heights, and Blue Ridge continue to enhance the livability of the "New Jacksonville" area.
