Tyler is the largest retail center in East Texas, and the largest between Dallas and Shreveport. One of Tyler's major retail shopping corridors is the South Broadway Avenue commercial corridor, the locale of hundreds of retail jobs and employment opportunities.
Other major retail stretches include Loop 323, Old Jacksonville Highway, the downtown area, and Troup Highway.
Retail opportunities in Tyler increased in 2014 when The Village at Cumberland Park, located at the intersection of South Broadway Avenue and Toll 49, opened its first phase of stores.
Other retailers continue to come to Tyler, such as Natural Grocers in the previous location of Bed Bath and Beyond at 4820 South Broadway Avenue.

The regional Broadway Square Mall is conveniently located at 4601 South Broadway Avenue, at the corner of South Broadway Avenue (U.S. Highway 69) and Loop 323, and contains about 90 stores.

Groundbreaking ceremonies were held on September 17, 2013 for The Village at Cumberland Park, located at the intersection of South Broadway Avenue and Toll Loop 49.

The new 700,000 square foot shopping center features retailers located in multiple buildings on 80 acres of land. It will create 2,000 new jobs in the Tyler area.
Many tenants will be new to Tyler, but the Village at Cumberland Park will also include some relocations of current stores and second locations for others. Opening of the first phase took place in September and October of 2014.
In addition, the Hampton Inn & Suites is now open at 8962 South Broadway near the Village at Cumberland Park.
Adjacent to the site and already open are Academy Sports, Super One, Dairy Queen, Christian Brothers Automotive, Discount Tire, Austin Bank, and VeraBank.
Bergfeld Center, Tyler, Texas |
Tyler offers shopping opportunities all over town, including the Bergfeld Center on South Broadway, between downtown and Loop 323, in the heart of Tyler's Azalea District.
The Bergfeld Center was the first shopping center in Tyler and East Texas, and continues to include a large variety of stores catering to the upscale customer.
The Center has locally-owned stores, stores with regional locations and stores representing national chains.
It also includes restaurants and bakeries such as the Village Bakery, and the First Watch restaurant, and boutiques such as Katie's Jewelry. A Brookshire's Grocery store is located adjacent to Bergfeld.
Across Broadway from Bergfeld Center is the Broadway Center, 2125 S. Broadway, which includes more retail tenants.
